How we charge

Three engagement models. One standard of delivery.

Every engagement is structured to align our incentives with yours. We recommend the model that best fits your situation — not the one that maximises our fees.

Model 01

Monthly Retainer

A fixed monthly fee covering agreed advisory hours, deliverables and direct access to the founder. Scope and time commitment agreed upfront.

Best forFractional CFO · Ongoing financial strategy · Pre-fundraise readiness

Model 02

Project Mandate

A fixed fee for a defined scope of work with milestone-based payments. Full engagement from kick-off to delivery. No open-ended billing. No surprises.

Best forFundraising · M&A · Restructuring · Defined deliverables

Model 03

Success Fee

A contingent fee tied to a defined transaction milestone — financial close, deal signing or capital raised. Typically combined with a reduced retainer.

Best forFundraising closes · M&A completions · Restructuring outcomes

Not sure which model fits your situation? Initial conversations are confidential and without commitment.

Discuss your mandate

Common questions

Before you reach out.

Is the first conversation really without commitment?

Yes. Initial discussions are confidential and free of charge. We use them to understand your situation and to be honest about whether we can add value. If we are not the right fit, we will say so — and where possible point you in the right direction.

How are your fees structured?

Three models: a fixed monthly retainer for ongoing advisory, a fixed project fee for defined-scope mandates, and a success fee tied to transaction close, usually combined with a reduced retainer. Scope and fees are agreed in writing before any work begins.

What size of company do you typically work with?

Mid-market businesses — typically with revenues from around SGD 10 million to SGD 500 million, or the INR equivalent for our India Desk — plus family offices and PE-backed companies. What matters most is not size but complexity: we take mandates where senior, hands-on advisory genuinely changes the outcome.

Do you lend money or invest directly?

No. Meridian is an independent advisory firm. We do not lend, hold client monies, place securities, or act as a broker or capital markets intermediary. For debt mandates, all facilities are sanctioned and provided by partner banks, NBFCs and financial institutions at their discretion — our role is to structure, position and arrange.

How does the India Desk work if you are based in Singapore?

The founder brings two decades of banking and corporate finance experience in India, with active lender and industry relationships on the ground. Mandates are delivered through a combination of on-the-ground presence in India and Singapore-based execution — with the same founder-led model on both sides of the corridor.

How quickly can a mandate move?

We respond to all enquiries within one business day. A typical debt mandate reaches lender submission within 2–6 weeks of engagement, depending on documentation readiness. Equity and M&A timelines vary with market conditions — we will give you an honest view before you commit.
